The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya # 23 : Who are you and What have you done with Haruhi Suzumiya?

That’s what I thought when I watched this episode. It was by far the most disturbing episode of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Also, Ono Daisuke is there to save the day (or not).  Mandatory Umineko reference, KyoAni must be doing it on purpose.  How can they not?

As usual the episode starts exactly where the last one left off but this time around no OP theme. We got Mikuru and Yuki practicing the part where they battle each other. Itsuki assures Kyon that Mikuru won’t be firing the Mikuru beam since Nagato already took care of it. What they were not expecting was that Haruhi bought another contact len for Mikuru. Of course she puts it on. Yuki once again fights Mikuru to take off the dangerous accessory. Haruhi is surprised but she doesn’t mind much and tells Kyon to keep recording them. The worst is yet to come.

Haruhi and anime , forgive them; for they know not what they’re doing

An early copy of the September issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype magazine has confirmed that the current Endless Eight arc of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya television anime series will end this week. The Newtype issue will officially ship on Monday. The Endless Eight arc recounts a short time-loop plotline from Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito’s original science-fiction comedy light novels. In the anime version, the same story was used for several episodes in the row, with minor changes from week to week. The anime has been in this story arc since June 19.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya S2 – Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody [impressions]

Randomness aside. Sarcasm aside. Overall I was very pleased with the first episode titled Bamboo leaf rhapsody.  It was really refreshing to see the old cast back and that they still are their usual selves after three long years. At some point, it seemed too good to be true. Luckily, it was true and not a troll this time. Yes, after all these years Haruhi Suzumiya still one of our best heroin I mean heroine against boredom. Am I overjoyed to see that Haruhi is back? Hell yeah. Do I feel that I’ve been terribly unfair towards Kadokawa and KyoAni all this time? You gotta be kidding me here. Of course not. Not in the least. But that’s not what’s important right now, I’ll make separate post for those. What’s important right now is this new awesome episode. And so this review begins.
